SERRAPETRONA, 9 and 16 November 2014
Approaching the ninth edition of Appassimenti Aperti, the wine event celebrating the unique qualities and history of the great grape Vernaccia Nera.
The event will take place in Serrapetrona, a charming village nestled on the Blue Mountains in the heart of the Marche region, on the Sundays of 9 and 16 November.
Like every year you repeat the magic of a unique event: rooms full of bunches of withering, stories that tell of an ancient art of winemaking to be handed down with rigor, a town that covers the colors of autumn and intense aromas of fine wines. Two days to narrate a profound link between the territory and one of its flagship products, in an atmosphere that will drop the visitor directly to the places of winemaking.
The charm of this show is especially unique in the opportunity to visit the Appassimenti, the places you pass on the ancient tradition of putting the grapes to dry for months before proceeding with the work; custom that the peasant has perpetuated and which today is renewed thanks to advanced techniques. In Appassimenti, where the grape harvest rests in boxes or hanging to form suggestive 'walls clusters', the producers tell the secrets of one of the most difficult wines to be produced.
A free shuttle will take visitors to the wineries of the producers
